ello” Quilters “April Showers bring May flowers. What great weather we are having right now. It’s been so cool that my Hydrangeas may actually bloom really well before they burn up. The Roses are beautiful the Irises and Lilies are here, spring is full of new life. I hope your Easter Sunday was as wonderful as the one we attended; we enjoyed great singing as well as the truth of Easter. We still had the chocolate bunnies and such. I teach in the 1st to 5th grade areas, all the girls in their new dresses and the boys with their annual ties. It was a great day. What a great day of meetings in April. Our trunk show presenters really made it interesting with the methods that they used to show the old quilts. Knowing that they were old (the quilts) was one thing, but having the time relationship aligned with the Presidents in office and other events really helped put them to prospective. A full slate of officers has been presented in the newsletter as well as at the meetings; we will approve them next month. This is a very strong board that will begin in July. This is good mixture of experienced ladies as well as a couple newer members. I know we can expect a really good year ahead of us. There are a few committee positions that are available and we will need some of you to step forward and take over in an area that you like. Each of the current committee members are putting together a guide folder for each chair to help the next person along. Almost all of the positions have little to zero responsibilities to them other than at the meetings. So please consider what you would like to do and talk to Marilyn Smith or me. I know the following areas are open: Refreshments day and night, Door prizes day and night Membership at night, Newsletter editor, Loving Hands night and there are others, but I cannot recall them. So Please Please let us know, so we can get off to a running start. There is a job description in your membership directory. Blessing’s on you and your families: Bob |
