Why Chiropractors Should NOT be allowed vacation time.....

Yesterday my neck and back were getting ouchy... could be because I got bucked
out of my wheelchair again. So we loaded up and went to see the chiropractor.
Only trouble is, that man dares to take a week off without consulting me
first!!! He won't be back until Jan 4.

So last night I couldn't get comfy in bed, so I got up, took a pill, and watched
tv until 2:30 a,m,. Back to bed, slept until 6:15 am... decided it wasn't worth
the ouchies, so I got up.

We have one of those Amish Friendship Bread starters, you know the one where you
add stuff to the starter on day 6, then bake bread on day 10, and hand out 3
bags to your closest friends... in hope that they will gain as much weight as
you do so that you will still 'fit in' with your gang.

So today is day 11... yes I am a day late and probably a dollar short too! As I
am stirring the batter and adding a little this and a little that, I somehow got
sugar in my eyes. Well sugar tastes sweet, but in your eyes it feels like sand.
I went back to my bed, eyes itching and trying not to scratch them. I reached
over on to the night stand to get my eye drops. Just a liquid moisturizer...
thought I could use it to rinse the sugar out. Trouble is.. you remember that
ear infection I had a couple of weeks ago? Yup, the antibiotic drops for my
ears was still on the night stand. Now, can you see where this is going???

I squirted ear drops into both eyes. Ywow-ser!!! that hurts! Randy handed me
the real eye drops and that didn't help much. Called the doc and got transfered
to poison control. They told me to get into the shower and let the water run
through my eyes for at least 15 minutes. Is that Chineese water torture, do you
suppose???

Randy got me the nicest, most expensive I've ever had, sunglasses for Christmas.
I didn't know I'd be wearing them in the house to keep the light out of my eyes.
Its now almost 5 pm and I can see out if I squint my eyes a bit. Very sensitive
to light, but feeling better... sort of like how your eyes feel after you've
been crying for a week.

So back to the Chiropractor's vacation. I AM blaming Dr. Chris for this. Boy is
he going to get an "ear-full"!

wink-wink-blink-blink, hugs,
Marilyn

Chiropractors, eyes, etc.
Hi Marilyn:
So sorry you are having all sorts of stumbling blocks!! I can relate to some of it. After breaking my leg, and not being able to walk for so long, I really appreciate whay you are going through. Just had eye surgery on Dec. 22, and am still blinking through the blurriness hoping it will clear up. Suggestion, my dear: Color colde those bottles of drops. I hope the damage was only temporary and you will be back to your normal self soon. Good that you have a sense of humor... that always helps. Thank God for good husbands like Randy and Jack. Without them we might be in trouble.
Hope to see you soon. Hugs and many blessings, Roberta smilies/wink.gif

That was the funniest. Sorry for your discomfort, but you need to send that in to a magazine. Debbie
